James Madison quarterback Alonza Barnett III commits to UCF
Former James Madison quarterback Alonza Barnett III is committing to UCF, the program announced on Sunday, less than a month after the signal-caller led the Dukes to the College Football Playoff first round after winning the Sun Belt Conference title.
Sources: Former James Madison quarterback Alonza Barnett III is committing to UCF. He led JMU to the College Football Playoff this year. He threw for 2,806 and 23 touchdowns. He also ran for 589 and 15 more TDs.
He'll have one year of eligibility remaining, as he's a graduate transfer.
Sources: Michigan OC Chip Lindsey is leaving become the new offensive coordinator at Missouri. He’s agreed to a three-year deal and will be the Tigers play caller.
Lindsey is the former head coach at Troy and has been the OC at Arizona State, Auburn, UCF and North Carolina. He replaces Kirby Moore, who went to Washington State as head coach.
(His status for coaching in Michigan’s bowl game remains in flux.)
Sources: Former Arkansas DC Travis Williams is expected to join the staff at Texas A&M. He’s expected to be the linebackers coach and potentially another title on staff.
Williams brings seven additional years of SEC experience from Auburn and is also the former defensive coordinator at UCF.
