Texas Tech has signed a 15-year naming rights partnership with Galaxy, a deal that includes NIL opportunities for the Big 12 school's student-athletes.
Sources: Texas Tech has agreed to new naming rights deal with Galaxy that will re-name the school’s football stadium Galaxy Stadium starting in 2026. The agreement is for 15 years and will include NIL opportunities.
This will essentially be a completely new revenue stream for Texas Tech. The stadium was previously named after AT&T, which frontloaded money to Tech for stadium renovations in the early 2000s. That meant virtually no stadium rights revenue in recent years.
