VCU's Ryan Odom hired as Virginia men's basketball coach
Virginia has hired VCU's Ryan Odom as it's new head coach.
VCU coach Ryan Odom has emerged as the target for the Virginia job, and a deal is expected to come together in the upcoming days, sources tell me and Jeff Borzello. He’s led VCU, Utah State and UMBC to the NCAA tournament in his career. At UMBC, Odom coached the first-ever No. 1 vs No. 16 upset in NCAA Tournament history, toppling top-ranked Virginia in 2018.
