Laubstein, Glasgow propel New Mexico to 38-7 victory over Central Michigan in season opener for both

Scottre Humphrey's 7-yard touchdown run was the only score of the first quarter as New Mexico took a 7-0 lead.

Laubstein ran it in from a yard out at the end of a 15-play drive early in the second quarter and Glasgow was good on kicks from 48 and 46 yards for a 20-0 lead at halftime.

Laubstein capped a 79-yard drive with a 3-yard touchdown run, and Luke Moga passed 11 yards to Bailen George for another score to push the advantage to 35-0 heading to the final quarter.

Glasgow kicked his final field goal — a 49-yarder — before Nasir Williams raced 23 yards for a touchdown on his only carry of the game for the Chippewas' lone score. It came at the end of a 10-play, 75-yard drive with 4:23 remaining.

Moga had 116 yards on 13-for-17 passing and Humphrey led six different running backs with 64 of 205 yards rushing.

Central Michigan finished with 149 yards of offense — 119 on the ground.
