— Tommy Schuster threw for five touchdowns and broke North Dakota's all-time record for touchdowns thrown in a career and the Fighting Hawks pulled away from Murray State for a 45-31 win on Saturday.
— Jordan Pachot threw four touchdown passes including the game winner to Raylen Sharpe with 3:28 remaining in the third quarter and Missouri State held off Murray State for a 28-24 win on Saturday.
— Travis Theis rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns to power South Dakota to a 38-7 victory over Murray State on Saturday.
— DJ Williams fired a 37-yard touchdown pass to Cole Rusk with eight minutes left to carry Murray State past Indiana State, 30-28 in the Missouri Valley Conference opener for both schools Saturday night.

Murray State has hired Kentucky special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach Dean Hood as its head coach. The 30-year veteran also has coached at Eastern Kentucky, Wake Forest, Colgate, Ohio and Charlotte.
