Colorado State ends Northern Iowa's home-court streak 84-78

Antwan Scott added 12 points and Emmanuel Omogbo 11 in the season opener.

The victory ended the Panthers' 18-game home-court winning streak, which was the 12th active in the country. Northern Iowa came in 21-0 in November at McLeod Center.

The Panthers tied the game with 16 minutes left on Jeremy Morgan's layup but the Rams then outscored Northern Iowa 21-7, with De Ciman scoring the first seven in the run, over the next 7:27 to lead 69-55, their biggest lead of the game. The Panthers cut it to 3 with 1:09 to go but the Rams hit seven free throws, four by Gillon, to secure the win.

Morgan led Northern Iowa with 20 points, Wes Washpun had 19 and Matt Bohannon 17.
