Northern Colorado edges past North Dakota 71-70

North Dakota's Quinton Hooker missed a jumper with a second left. Drick Bernstine's basket gave the Fighting Hawks their last lead at 70-69 lead with 34 seconds to play.

Bernstine hit back-to-back jumpers to put North Dakota up 63-59. After a Northern Colorado timeout, Anthony Johnson made two free throws and Davis hit a layup to tie it.

Johnson and Davis scored 11 of Northern Colorado's last 12 points. Johnson also finished with 17 points for Northern Colorado (8-13, 5-4 Big Sky).

Meanwhile, Bernstine and Hooker scored North Dakota's final 13 points.

North Dakota(10-10, 5-4) got 21 from Bernstine who shot 10 for 14 from the field. Hooker had 12.

Both teams each made 26 field goals and 13 free throws.
