Webb scores 23 points, Boise State downs UC Davis 64-56
The Broncos (9-4) also got 14 points from Anthony Drmic and 12 from Nick Duncan in winning their 15th consecutive game at Taco Bell Arena.
Webb scored five points in a 10-0 run that that turned a 48-46 deficit into a 56-48 advantage with 6:49 to play that the Broncos would never relinquish.
Boise State coach Leon Rice was glad his team finally shook off the holiday rust. The Broncos hadn't played since a Dec. 20 win over Oregon.
"But our guys woke up. They got back from Christmas a little late, but they got it done, so you have to credit our guys."
UC Davis (4-8) got a career-high 21 points from Siler Schneider, but the Aggies couldn't overcome a five-minute stretch in the second half without a field goal. Schneider made 9 of 14 shots in 35 minutes.
"I can't be more impressed with that young man as a freshman in this environment," UC Davis coach Jim Les said. "That kid has big-time heart and big-time guts and also a lot of skill."
UC Davis led for most of the first half. Neal Monson scored 11 of his 14 points in the first 10 minutes as the Aggies led by as many as nine in the first half. Monson picked up his second and third fouls late in the half, putting a major kink in the Aggies' game plan.
"As good as Boise shoots and spreads you out, we did not want to spend as much time as we did in that zone," Les said. "That early foul trouble really forced our hand."
Boise State took advantage of the foul trouble at the line, too. The Broncos made 18 of 26 foul shots, compared to 4 of 7 by the Aggies. UC Davis shot 50 percent from the field (24-48), compared to 41 percent (20-49) for Boise State.

Boise State forward Anthony Drmic moved into fourth place on the school's all-time scoring list, passing Coby Karl. Drmic now has 1,701 career points. Tanoka Beard, who played at BSU from 1989-93, is the all-time leader with 1,944 points.
