John Dewey III had 15 points and Dakari Henderson scored 12 for SHSU (2-2).

BIG PICTURE
Sam Houston State: Head coach Jason Hooten had to be happy with the way his team battled back after being overwhelmed in the first half, but the Bearkats ultimately were out-sized and overmatched.
Georgia Tech: The Jackets have to be pleased with the way they shot the long ball (season-high 6 3s on 11 attempts) after a horrendous start to the season from beyond the arc. Head coach Josh Pastner knows they have to bridge the gap between their productivity from 3-point range in the first game and move closer to Tuesday's numbers.
UP NEXT
Sam Houston State: The Bearkats host Idaho on Friday.
Georgia Tech: Senior point guard Josh Heath, who missed the Jackets' first four games while suspended for violating team rules, will be eligible for the last of five consecutive home games to open the season Saturday against Tulane.
