Yussuf's career-high 25 leads LBSU past UCSB, 81-76
Prince finished with 14 points and 10 boards, Evan Payne scored 15 and Noah Blackwell added 11 points with four assists for LBSU (7-14, 2/3 Big West).
Prince hit 4 of 4 free throws and Blackwell made a 3-pointer during a 9-2 run that gave Long Beach State its biggest lead, 47-34, with 28 seconds left in the half and led by 12 with 18 minutes to play. The Gauchos slowly chipped away before Eric Childress scored 11 points during a 17-8 spurt that gave UCSB (3-13, 1-3) a one-point lead with 3:19 left.
Payne answered with a 3 and, after a jumper by Alex Hart made it 74-all with 2:29 remaining, the Gauchos missed five of their last six shots and the 49ers hit 5 of 6 free throws to seal it.
Childress finished with 17 points, Hart had 14 with 10 rebounds and Gabe Vincent scored 16 for UCSB, which has lost three in a row to LBSU and four of its last five overall.
