Cook scores with 2.9 seconds left as Princeton edges Harvard
Harvard, which has lost two of its last three, led 56-53 with 14.6 seconds left, but Princeton's Myles Stephens had a clear look at a 3-point attempt on the ensuing possession, yet instead drove for a layup and drew a foul from Justin Bassey. Stephens missed the free throw, but Cook grabbed the rebound and scored.
Bryce Aiken heaved the inbounds pass to Corey Johnson, but Johnson's 3-point shot from just outside the arc hit the back of the rim.
Cook is a point shy of 1,000 career points at Princeton (12-6, 5-0 Ivy League). Stephens added 15 points.
Siyani Chambers scored 17 points to lead Harvard (12-7, 4-2). Aiken, who finished with 10 points, made a 3-pointer to give the Crimson their first lead of the second half, 52-49.
