Furman holds off UNC Wilmington 90-84 behind Sibley, Brown

Early in the second half, Brown made a 3-pointer for a 50-48 Furman lead and the Paladins never trailed again. The shot triggered a 15-5 run that involved 3s from Brown, John Davis III and Sibley.

Later, Ty Taylor II had back-to-back layups to trim UNC Wilmington's deficit to 79-75 with 6:08 left. The Seahawks cut the deficit to three points on three later occasions but couldn't get closer.

Brown and Davis made 3 of 4 free throws combined in the last 12 seconds to seal the win as UNC Wilmington scored just once in the final minute.

Furman (9-3) got 16 points from Matt Rafferty and Davis had 14. Rafferty was 7-for-9 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds.

Devontae Cacok led UNC Wilmington (2-7) with 24 points and missed twice in 12 attempts from the field and collected 13 rebounds. Jordon Talley scored 21, Jaylen Fornes 20 and Taylor 13.
