Charlotte snaps 15-game drought 85-78 over FAU

Austin Ajukwa scored 23 points and Andrien White added 17 for the 49ers (6-23, 2-16), who shot 44.4 percent from the field and made 30 of 32 free throws.

After 16 lead changes, Ajukwa's jumper and 3-point play put Charlotte up 63-59 and the 49ers led by six on his 3 with 7:12 left. Davis' free throws capped a 7-2 run for a nine-point Charlotte lead, but FAU closed to 79-75 on Jailyn Ingram's layup with 43 seconds left. Davis and Ajukwa combined for six free throws from there to seal it.
