Reese guides Southern to 63-61 win over Alabama State
The Jaguars (7-13, 3-4 Southwestern Athletic Conference) won despite shooting 36 percent from the floor, including 23.5 percent from 3-point range, and 50 percent (13 of 26) at the foul line. Southern posted back-to-back wins for only the second time this season.
Reginald Gee made four 3-pointers and scored 20 with nine rebounds to lead the Hornets (3-15, 3-3). Rodney Simeon added 11 points as Alabama State also struggled on offense.
