Jones hit a 3 and then scored in the lane before Andrej Stojakovic made a jumper to cap a 14-2 run that gave the Cardinal a 13-point lead with 12:40 left in the first half.
Mulcahy made a 3 and a layup 30 seconds apart to trim the Huskies' deficit to 48-46 about five minutes into the second half. Jones hit three 3-pointers in less than two minutes and Brandon Angel's jumper with 10:35 to play made it a 10-point game. Keion Brooks Jr. converted a three-point play to cap a 10-1 spurt with 7:47 remaining but Jones again answered with a 3 to keep the Cardinal in front.
Carlyle scored eight points from there and Stanford made 11 of 14 from the free-throw line over the final three minutes to seal it.
