  • 0': The teams are in and just an hour now to kick-off, join Dale Johnson here for build up and live commentary of the Champions League final. Twitter: @dalejohnsonESPN
  • 0': The players are out for their final warm-up. They'll be going back into the changing rooms shortly for the managers to give their final motivational and tactical talks.
  • 0': Here's a cracking stat for you: On the three occasions that a European Cup final has been played in Munich, a team have won their first title (Nottingham Forest 79, Marseille 93, Dortmund 97).
  • 0': Chelsea have scored in their last 13 Champions League games. A club record and the longest run of all teams alongside Real Madrid.
  • 0': The Champions League trophy has been brought out and placed in front of the tunnel. The players will have to run out past it with their eyes on the prize.
  • 0': So, all the players are out, the toss has come and gone and we're seconds away.
  • 1': It's Chelsea to kick-off!
  • 2': The first incident is foul by Cole on Kroos in the centre of the park.
  • 2': Robben stands over this. He can put it in the box.
  • 2': It's a poor free-kick from Robben and Bosingwa heads clear from the edge of the box.
  • 2': Schweinsteiger with a cynical handball to prevent a pass.
  • 3': The fan split might be more equal, but make no mistake this will feel like a home game for Bayern. The surroundings, the familiarity, makes it that.
  • 4': Ribery breaks down the left and manages to kick the ball with his wrong foot, meaning the attempt cross only hacks at fresh hair.
  • 5': Shot from Schweinsteiger from the edge of the D, Cahill with the block to deflect behind. The corner comes to nothing.
  • 6': It's worked again by Bayern, comes to Kroos but his shot from 20+ yards is dragged well wide.
  • 7': Remember, this is amazingly Ryan Bertrand's Champions League debut - the first player to achieve that in the final during the Champions League era.
  • 8': Chelsea break and Drogba crosses from the right, but it goes over the head of everyone and out of play.
  • 9': Poor cross from Mata when he had good options, headed away by a defender.
  • 9': Bayern break and it's Robben with space to run at Ashley Cole. He cuts back onto his left but blasts it way over the bar.
  • 10': Foul by Ribery on Drogba deep in the Chelsea half.
  • 11': Stat: This is the fourth time a team has played the final of the European Cup in their own stadium: only Roma have lost before.
  • 12': The game has calmed down now, Chelsea seem to have weathered the early storm.
  • 13': Mikel gets away with a terrible short pass - Robben almost with the opportunity to break.
  • 14': Free-kick. David Luiz alll over Thomas Muller.
  • 14': Good ball into the area by Ribery, Gomez looks to get a header on goal but can only flick it over the bar.
  • 15': Ribery has space to break to the edge of the box but is crowded out.
  • 16': Stat: Franck Ribéry has won 42 fouls so far in this Champions League season, at least 14 more than any other player.
  • 17': Bayern playing a few wayward balls now.
  • 18': Kalou is penalised for backing into his man.
  • 18': Corner to Bayern now.
  • 19': The corner comes in from the right, Robben tries to shoot first time and Bertrand does well to get a deflection on it. Another corner.
  • 19': Another corner comes in, Cech has a flap at it and the ball is eventually worked to Gomez - he looks to have turned his man well...
  • 20': ...Gomez slightly over-runs it and Lampard intercepts and plays a short ball to Bosingwa - who has a horror miskick and it goes behind for another corner.
  • 21': Bayern fail to work anything from the corner, but that was the first sign of any panic in the Chelsea backline.
  • 22': Robben sneaks into the box and somehow snaps a shot off - Cech sticks out his right leg and miraculously keeps it out.
  • 23': The pressure is building again now, all Bayern.
  • 23': Remember you can follow me on Twitter: @dalejohnsonESPN
  • 24': Robben's cross hits Cole and goes behind for yet another corner.
  • 24': Robben takes, this time it's the towering figure of Drogba who heads away.
  • 25': When Chelsea do get the chance to come out they are giving the ball away very cheaply. They cannot expect to keep Bayern out if they do not relieve the pressure on the defence.
  • 26': We've just seen a replay of that Robben shot. Not only was it saved by Cech, but it also came back off the angle of post and bar.
  • 26': Another corner to Bayern. This time Cech comes out to claim.
  • 27': Six shots from Bayern and seven corners. Chelsea have yet to register one of either.
  • 27': Drogba is sent to the deck by Boateng just outside the D. A chance to float in a ball.
  • 27': Chelsea work it short and fail to create anything. If Chelsea are going to score it seems they will have to make the most of such opportunities.
  • 28': David Luiz fells Muller just outside the box. Definite foul, a real chance for the German side.
  • 29': Robben hits it, and smashes his free-kick into the top of the wall.
  • 30': Half an hour gone, Chelsea continue to favour obdurate over offence.
  • 31': Bonsingwa is told to calm himself by the ref after going through the back of Ribery.
  • 32': Ribery needs a bit of treatment, caught on the back of the calf by Bosingwa.
  • 33': Snap shot from Robben, into the ground and into Cech. Ribery is coming back on now.
  • 34': Free-kick to Chelsea in a great position. Cahill send sprawling by Boateng. Just outside the box to the right of goal.
  • 35': Drogab runs over it and allows Mata to hit it, but he gets under the free-kick and it's always rising.
  • 36': Chelsea switch off for a second and Ribery cuts inside, but he also cuts his left-footed shot well to the left of goal.
  • 36': Fine run by Contento on the overlap, he picks out Muller on the penalty spot with a fine cross - but Muller shins it five yards wide. That was a chance.
  • 37': Drogba almost finds himself through the centre with the offside flag staying down - the ball just won't come down quickly enough for the Ivorian and there's an interception.
  • 37': Chelsea have come to life from nowhere!
  • 38': Brilliant play from Chelsea, switching it left to right and working it to Kalou - he hits a first-time right-footed drive which bends back into goal and Neuer holds.
  • 39': Bertrand almost gets onto a ball over the top, just too much on it and Neuer will get a goal-kick.
  • 40': Wasteful again by Bayern!
  • 40': Gomez's overhead kick is blocked, Ribery slices a shot across goal to Muller who has a great chance - he opts to try and control it and the ball runs well away from him. Muller had to hit it, chance gone.
  • 41': Tymoschuk tries a speculative shot from 40 yards, it deflects off Gomez and behind for a goal-kick.
  • 42': Mata breaks, but his pass when reaching the edge of the box is a hopeful stab rather than meaningful delivery.
  • 43': Unbelievable again! Gomez turns Cahill inside the box, leaves him floundering and the striker has to score - he blazes it into the Munich night sky.
  • 44': Bayern Munich have had 16 shots, but just two on target. They really have been that wasteful.
  • 45': Just one minute to be added on.
  • 46': And there goes the half-time whistle, we're at deadlock after the first 45.
  • 0': It's an obdurate display from Chelsea, and Bayern - just like Barcelona - have wasted chances they would normally slot in their sleep.
  • 0': Chelsea improved in the last 15 of the half, and they will need to build on that if they are to win their first Champions League title.
  • 0': I'll be back for the second half. I'm on Twitter @dalejohnsonESPN
  • 0': The players are back out.
  • 46': And Bayern kick off in the second half.
  • 47': Gary Cahill was struggling towards the end of the half, he's back out for the second period but the medical staff will be watching closely.
  • 47': Ribery tests Cahill on a run, the Frenchman tries to cut a pass across the face of goal and there's Luiz to clear.
  • 48': Stat: Chelsea have won 57% of their Champions League games (8/14) when John Terry has been missing, compared to 49% with him.
  • 49': Robben leaves Luiz trailing but delays his cross and it's blocked. The ball comes back to Kroos who sees a shot from distance deflected over.
  • 50': Bayern opt to work the resulting corner short but it comes to nothing.
  • 51': Snap shot! Drogba pulls out a shot on the turn out of nowhere - Neuer is never concerned as it bounces five yards wide of his right post.
  • 52': Remember, on the three occasions that a European Cup final has been played in Munich, a team has won their first title (Nottingham Forest 79, Marseille 93, Dortmund 97).
  • 53': Gomez goes down in the box under a fair challenge from Cole. No chance of getting a spot-kick, even if you think you are the home side.
  • 54': Another snap shot from the orange-booted Drogba - blocked by the first defender.
  • 55': Ribery latches on to a deflected shot by Robben and slots it into the back of the net - Chelsea are rightly saved by the linesman's offside flag. A warning.
  • 56': Long ball through the centre towards Bertrand, but there's too much heat on it and Neuer makes sure he gets a goal-kick.
  • 57': Luiz is penalised for a foul on Muller, chance to deliver for Bayern yet again. 35 yards out.
  • 57': Bayern opt to work it short, it goes left to Kroos who slices woefully wide from 25 yards.
  • 58': Kroos trips Mata, free-kick in the centre circle.
  • 59': Chelsea playing keep-ball in their own half for a short while.
  • 60': Chelsea are hesitant at the back, the ball runs for Robben on the penalty spot and Cole throws himself across the shot at the last minute to thwart Bayern.
  • 61': Muller wins a corner off Cole, Bayern's 10th.
  • 62': The corner is worked short and curled in - Drogba heads behind. The next corner is met by the head of Schweinsteiger but he can only flick it on and behind.
  • 63': Ribery goes on a fine run, opts against taking on the shot and ... passes the ball to a Chelsea player.
  • 64': This time Ribery does shoot from the edge of the box, drags it well wide. That is Bayern Munich's 22nd shot. Still just TWO on target.
  • 65': Free-kick against Drogba for a tug on the arm of Schweinsteiger.
  • 66': Corner to Bayern, Lahm's cross hitting Cole. Cech gets something on it and Luiz blocks a follow up.
  • 67': Lahm is really getting into this game now, starting to push forward just like he did against Real Madrid - causing real problems.
  • 68': Into the last quarter of the game, Chelsea still playing the rear-guard action. Remember my Twitter is @dalejohnsonESPN
  • 69': Bayern camped in the Chelsea half.
  • 70': Excellent tackle by Cole, winning the ball off Muller as he tried to cut into the box. It's a corner.
  • 71': Corner 13 is quickly followed by 14 but Bayern can't work anything.
  • 72': Robben finds Kroos unmarked on the edge of the box, his powerful drive smash into Cole.
  • 72': Kalou fouls Contento over on the left flank. It's another free-kick chipped in but it fails to evade the first defender.
  • 72': Cross comes in from the right, Kalou tries to get his head to it but he's just beaten.
  • 73': Seventeen minutes left on the clock, no changes made yet - both managers must be mindful that we could see an additional 30 minutes.
  • 73': Drogba gets past Tymoschuk and plays a ball across the face of goal - Kalou is waiting at the back stick but Contento intercepts.
  • 74': Bertrand is replaced Florent Malouda.
  • 75': There was a shot just before that sub from Robben, palmed down with ease by Cech.
  • 76': The game is starting to get stretched now, Chelsea able to see some of the ball in the opposition's half.
  • 77': Ribery gets in to the byline, Cole does excellently to block the driven cross - and Cech has to tip the ball over the bar before it drops onto the goal-line.
  • 78': Muller leans on Malouda on the edge of the Chelsea box and gives away the free-kick. Intelligently done by the Frenchman.
  • 79': Ribery goes on a jinking run, he loses the ball but it runs for Muller on the penalty spot....
  • 79': ... and Muller drags a terrible shot 15 yards wide to the left of goal. 31 shots for Bayern, three on target.
  • 80': Chelsea take ages over a corner and referee Pedro Proenca tells them to get on with it.
  • 81': Chelsea appeal for a penalty for handball against Ribery - it hit him in the chest.
  • 82': Mata is having a stinker. Chelsea had a great chance to break there, he looked for Cole on the left and passed it straight to a defender.
  • 82': Cole is forced to rush back caught out of possession and ends up tripping Muller to hold up the break.
  • 83': Cross fromm Contento on the left, Muller gets there first with the header but can only direct the ball to Cech's hands.
  • 83': GOAL THOMAS MULLER
  • 84': The cross comes in from the left again from Schweinsteiger, it finds Muller who has pulled away from Cole. He heads into the ground and the bounce does for Cech - the ball finding the roof of the net.
  • 84': Fernando Torres is on for Kalou.
  • 85': Five minutes for Chelsea to find a miracle.
  • 85': Robben shoots while on the fall, and the ball runs easily for Cech.
  • 86': David Luiz for a foul on Robben on the right flank. This will run the clock down.
  • 86': Daniel van Buyten makes his first appearance since January after injury, replacing the goalscorer Muller.
  • 87': Ribery tries to get along the byline but it runs out for a goal-kick. Now can Chelsea break?
  • 88': Corner to Chelsea.
  • 88': The ref wants words about pushing in the box.
  • 88': GOAL DIDIER DROGBA
  • 89': Mata delivers a corner from the right, what a superb header by Drogba at the near post. Neuer beaten by the power.
  • 90': Anyone fancy another 30 minutes?
  • 90': Three minutes to be added on.
  • 91': Robben breaks into the box, there's a deflection and Bayern again fail with their 17th corner.
  • 92': Remember, Bayern made a very defensive substitution by taking off Muller for Van Buyten - who cannot be fully match-fit.
  • 93': Into the last 30 seconds. Chelsea in the ascendancy.
  • 93': Free-kick to Chelsea, 30 yards out!
  • 93': We are into added time after injury time. This is the last kick of the game.
  • 93': Surely it will be Drogba with the shot.
  • 93': The ref gets the wall ready.
  • 93': Oh dear, Drogba leathers his shot way over into the back of the stand after an uncharacteristic short run-in.
  • 93': And that's full-time.
  • 0': So, we have another 30 minutes. I think this could be more interesting than the first 80 minutes. Time for a cup of tea. I'm on Twitter @dalejohnsonESPN
  • 0': This is going to be tense.
  • 0': Bayern must be shellshocked. Similar to 1999, they though they had this won - then Drogba produced a stunning header.
  • 0': The ref tossess the coin for ends in extra-time.
  • 91': Bayern kick-off in extra-time.
  • 92': Torres does brillaint to break with the ball. He gets a couple of slices of luck and it runs for a Lampard shot - which hits a defender.
  • 93': Bayern have put so much running into this game. How much do they have left in the tank?
  • 93': Another hopeful shot from Kroos - blocked by Mata
  • 93': PENALTY TO BAYERN!
  • 93': Drogba tripped Ribery from behind. Definite penalty.
  • 94': Robben has the ball. Ribery having treatment.
  • 95': Looks like just cramp for Ribery as he's helped off.
  • 95': It is going to be Robben...
  • 95': SAVED BY PETR CECH!
  • 96': Robben went low to the right, it wasn't a great penalty but Cech went the right way and blocked it - then gathered the rebound. What drama!
  • 96': Football, eh?
  • 97': David Luiz blocks off the run off Robben and is lucky not to get a second yellow card.
  • 97': Olic comes on for Ribery, who is helped to bench unable to walk himself.
  • 98': Bayern on top now, onto 18 corners and Van Buyten has a shot snuffled out by a defender.
  • 99': Stat: Jerome Boateng and Petr Cech are the only players not to miss any minute of Champions League action this season.
  • 100': The clock ticks over to 100 minutes. No sign of an end to the drama. The last 20 minutes have been breathtaking.
  • 101': Both teams left with one change. Chelsea with three players on yellow cards and fatigued legs producing tired tackles.
  • 102': Good run by Torres, but the ball doesn't break for him and it's a goal-kick.
  • 103': Free-kick to Chelsea, handball by Robben after he lost his footing. This is 35 yards out and central.
  • 104': Mata chips it to Torres at the back post, who takes a couple of touches before standing a cross up to the far post. Lahm flicks to safety with his head.
  • 105': One minute to be added on in the first period of extra-time.
  • 105': Lampard runs over and hacks down Olic as he protects the ball. Last chance to put in a ball in this half.
  • 105': Schweinsteiger's free-kick is awful, looking for someone on the edge of the box and it's intercepted.
  • 105': And that's half-time in extra-time.
  • 0': There will be a quick turnaround here, just time to take on fluids.
  • 0': You have to feel this 15 minutes will be tense and tentative.
  • 106': Chelsea get us back in action.
  • 107': Bayern have possession, but not going anywhere.
  • 108': Corner number 19 to Bayern, won by Olic.
  • 108': There's too much on the corner, and a tired Schweinsteiger cannot connect at the back stick.
  • 108': It comes to Boateng on the edge of the box, another hopeful shot is blocked by a defender.
  • 108': Cross comes in from the right, Bosingwa has gone missing and the unmarked Olic must score...
  • 109': ...Olic's effort goes across the face of goal and Van Buyten is caught on his heels and the ball trickles past the post. So close!
  • 110': Lahm plays a neat ball into Gomez in the box, the striker's control is pitiful and it runs away from him.
  • 111': All Bayern here.
  • 112': Robben finds the Chelsea defence napping as he slips in Lahm into the box. The defender tries to cut it back, it just hits a Bayern team-mate and Luiz manages to get rid - but only for a corner.
  • 113': Cahill has got cramp - the ref tells him to go off for the corner even though he's had no treatment.
  • 113': Bayern's corner with Chelsea a centre-back down is terrible, long and Torres heads away.
  • 114': Robben cuts inside again on the edge of the area and slices a terrible shot way wide. They was Bayern's 41st shot.
  • 115': Kroos fouls Cole on the half-way line.
  • 115': Drogba is penalised for bundling into the back of Van Buyten.
  • 116': Will either side make a change in readiness for a penalty shootout?
  • 116': Mikel brings down Schweinsteiger. Around 30 yards out this one.
  • 117': Robben takes the free-kick, and lofts a perfect backpass over the top of his team-mates and into the hands of Cech. Terrible.
  • 118': Bayern still enjoying all the possession.
  • 119': Tymoschuk stupidly shoots from 30 yards and it slams into Mikel's body.
  • 120': Into the final minute in Munich.
  • 120': Torres tries to beat Contento and the Chelsea man is shown the yellow card for dissent.
  • 120': Full-time. We are going to penalty kicks.
  • 120': Phew! What a 120 minutes that has been. Now penalties. Surely the German side will win? You can follow me on Twitter: @dalejohnsonESPN
  • 120': So tense in Munich now. Chelsea have been here before ... and they lost to Manchester United.
  • 120': The players get a massage from the physio staff, making sure they do not stiffen up before the shootout.
  • 120': Philipp Lahm gives his team-mates a rousing speech as they gather in a circle.
  • 120': Di Matteo making sure of his list of five takers, checking with Torres.
  • 120': The referee tosses the coin for first take.
  • 120': Lampard and Lahm shake hands. It is almost time.
  • 120': Penalties will be taken in front of the Bayern fans.
  • 120': Chelsea players get in a huddle.
  • 120': It's going to be Bayern to take the first penalty.
  • 120': Lahm will take the first penalty...
  • 120': GOAL Fired into the right side of the net. Bayern lead 1-0.
  • 120': Mata up for Chelsea first...
  • 120': SAVED! straight down the middle. 1-0 Bayern after one.
  • 120': Gomez next...
  • 120': GOAL Slotted into the bottom right corner. 2-0 Bayern
  • 120': David Luiz....
  • 120': GOAL A long run and blast and into the top-right corner! 2-1 after two each.
  • 120': It's going to be Manuel Neuer....
  • 120': GOAL And the Bayern keeper hits a weak shot to the left but Cech can't get down. 3-1 Bayern.
  • 120': Lampard steps up...
  • 120': GOAL Slammed into the back of the net. 3-2 Bayern after three.
  • 120': Olic, his last kick for Bayern...
  • 120': SAVED! Awful penalty, hit to the right and Cech claws it away! Chance for Chelsea to level.
  • 120': Ashley Cole now come to the spot...
  • 120': GOAL Brilliant penalty from goal, powered into the right side.
  • 120': So, this is now essentially sudden death. We're at 3-3 after four penalties.
  • 120': Schweinsteiger...
  • 120': MISSED!
  • 120': He delayed his kick and it hits the right post!
  • 120': Didier Drogba to win the Champions League for Chelsea...
  • 120': GOAL Neuer is sent the wrong way and it rolls into the left of the net.
  • 120': CHELSEA WIN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IN MUNICH!
  • 120': What drama, Chelsea have played the role of Greece 2004 in the semi-finals and the final. They've had no choice but to play the role of defenders, and they have been given the ultimate reward.
  • 120': Drogba is running everywhere in front of the fans, players in tears.
  • 120': Roman Abramovich punches the air - and there's almost a smile.
  • 120': Some Chelsea players are on the deck in disbelief.
  • 120': Skipper John Terry comes onto the pitch decked out in his Chelsea kit.
  • 120': Roman Abramovich really is smiling now.
  • 0': That's it from me. You can follow me on Twitter at @dalejohnsonESPN - and keep up with all the rest of the presentation with Chris Atkins: http://es.pn/KkFgcK
