"You could see her in the making even back then, that she was a special player," Mittie said.

Sims, the nation's leading scorer, had 28 points with six 3-pointers to pace No. 7 Baylor to an 80-46 victory over the Frogs on Saturday night. The Lady Bears stretched their national-best home winning streak to 69 games, which span Sims' college career.

"Odyssey is playing so well," Mittie said. "Here's a player that's pushing for a lot of special things in her senior year, and what I see is a team that has a lot of offensive firepower, even though they lost so much."

Sims played only 30 minutes and was 11-of-16 shooting, including 6-of-10 on 3-pointers for the second game in a row. She had a career-high 48 points Wednesday night at West Virginia, when she took over the record for 3-pointers. She got recognized for that record before the game.

Zahna Medley had 10 points on 4-of-14 shooting and was the only TCU player scoring in double figures. All of her points came in the first half.

TCU (11-5, 2-2 Big 12) shot only 29 percent from the field (17 of 58) and was outrebounded 48-29.

"Obviously our issues tonight were rebounding and any consistent offense," Mittie said. "Our group struggled all night long. Baylor's defense is excellent. They did a great job on our shooters, making them rush."

The home winning streak for the Lady Bears (14-1, 4-0) gets a big test Monday night when they host top-ranked Connecticut.

Sune Agbuke had 15 points for Baylor while freshman Nina Davis had 11 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Imani Wright also had 11 points.

Sims had two 3-pointers as the Lady Bears scored the game's first 14 points in just over 3 minutes.

Mittie called his second timeout already after Sims' second 3-pointer, when the Frogs had taken only two shots. They finally scored when Natalie Ventress made a short jumper 3 1/2 minutes into the game.

That started an 18-8 run over a 7-minute span for the Frogs, getting them within 22-18 when Medley penetrated for a short jumper. They never got closer, with Sims hitting a 3-pointer to start a quick spurt of eight straight points by Baylor.

"They made a run at us because of our turnovers. We'd get trapped and not take care of the basketball," Baylor coach Kim Mulkey said. "They're going to make runs, and I thought we responded."

Donielle Breaux made a buzzer-beating 3 for the Frogs to end the first half, but they still trailed 45-27.

Along with its home-court winning streak, Baylor has won a record 44 consecutive Big 12 regular-season games. That streak is 53 when counting the Lady Bears winning the conference tournament the past three years.

Baylor was the No. 1 team when winning last February at then-No. 3 UConn, which lost at Waco two seasons ago in a 1-2 matchup.

"It's a quick turnaround, and we understand who we play Monday," Mulkey said. "We know what it feels like to be No. 1 in the country and want to knock people off."
