Tricia Liston leads No. 2 Duke over Xavier

Tricia Liston scored 22 points and Elizabeth Williams added 18 to help No. 2 Duke rout Xavier 81-54 at the Paradise Jam on Thursday.

Williams also had eight rebounds and four blocks for the Blue Devils (6-0).

Chelsea Gray had eight points, nine assists and nine rebounds for Duke, which shot a season-high 60 percent from the field and had 10 blocks.

Duke was up by three 7½ minutes in before scoring 20 of the final 29 points of the half to take a 40-26 lead at the break. Liston had nine points during the burst. Liston has gone over 20 points in three of Duke's games this season.

"Tricia is a very confident player and competes as well as anybody I know," McCallie said. "She is willing to do whatever it takes. At one point she was blocking a shot inside and then she was out there hitting 3s."

Xavier could get no closer than 13 in the second half.

"It was a great team game," McCallie said. "I felt like a lot of different people contributed. Those who started, Elizabeth really set the tone for us. I thought the people came off the bench and really made a difference."

Jenna Crittendon scored 16 points to lead the Musketeers (2-3).
