UC Riverside (2-1) led throughout much of the first half and Clemence Lefebvre's 3-pointer gave the Highlanders a 35-30 lead early in the third quarter. Asha Thomas and Mikayla Cowling made 3-pointers to end the quarter with Cal leading 52-46 and putting the Bears (3-0) ahead for good.
