White helps No. 13 Florida State women beat Creighton 92-82
The Seminoles (11-1) bounced back from an 87-72 loss to No. 8 Texas on Sunday. Creighton (6-4) had its three-game win streak snapped despite hitting 17 of 35 (49 percent) from 3-point range.
White, a Shelby-Rising City prep star and the first Nebraska high school female to be named a McDonald's All-American in 2014, scored two points and had three rebounds as the Seminoles outscored Creighton 18-9 in the third quarter, and opened the fourth on a 5-0 spurt for a 71-60 lead.
Temi Carda made a layup and Audrey Faber a 3-pointer to pull the Bluejays to 71-65 but they didn't get closer.
AJ Alix scored nine of her 17 points in the second half for Florida State. Imani Wright added 16 points and made three 3-pointers as the Seminoles had six players finish in double-figure scoring.
Faber scored 30 points and made seven 3-pointers to lead Creighton.
