Pippen is clutch, Kent State edges Miami (Ohio) 90-83 OT

Kent State (15-15, 9-8 Mid-American) has won two straight, but lost a chance for a first-round bye in the MAC Tournament after Eastern Michigan also won Tuesday.

Pippen blocked Darrian Ringo's potential game-winner with two seconds left, but Miami still appeared to have won the game in regulation when Nike Sibande drained a 3-pointer at the buzzer. After review, the shot was ruled to have been after time expired.

Dalonte Brown led the RedHawks (15-15, 8-9) with 19 points, Sibande added 17. Ringo, sixth in the nation with 211 assists before the game, dished 11 to become Miami's all-time leader for assists in a single season, breaking a record set in 1985.
