Match Timeline
- 0': Somehow Milan take a 2-0 lead into tonight's Champions League semi-final second leg. But if they defend like they did last week PSV, in front of their home fans, will fancy their chances. Join us for all the action from 19.45 UK time.
- 0': PSV have been forced in to two changes from the first leg, with Oijer suspended and Beasley injured. Nesta, meanwhile, returns for Milan.
- 1': There's a great atmosphere inside the stadium tonight. Milan kick off to a chorus of whistles from the home crowd.
- 1': Remember, a single goal for Milan means that PSV would need FOUR to go through - and we all know that's not going to happen; Milan have one of the meanest defences around.
- 2': PSV have started at a good tempo. The seem to be lining up with Vennegoor of Hesselink as a central striker, supported by Park and Farfan from the flanks.
- 3': Lucius, who has come in to replace Oijer, does well to rob Seedorf as Milan break down the right.
- 3': Cafu clips a cross in to the penalty area, left-footed, but it's straight at Gomes, who collects easily.
- 4': Lee will be another important player tonight; he likes to get forward down the left wing to support fellow South Korean Park. He loses out to Cafu down in the corner.
- 5': Oooh! Farfan nods a header to VoH inside the area, and the tall striker attempts to scissor-kick a volley goalwards but Maldini bravely throws his head at the ball and clears. Free-kick for a high foot from VoH.
- 6': Maldini takes some treatment to a wound to the head following his courageous defending as VoH prepared to smash a shot at Dida. There seems to be some concern as he is stretchered off.
- 7': Lee attempts to reverse a pass in towards Cocu, who had made a late run inside the penalty area, though Gattuso cuts out the ball and Milan clear.
- 8': Lee does well down the left wing, managing to get a cross in towards the penalty spot, but Stam clears with his head.
- 9': GOAL! The stadium explodes as VoH collects a ball from Park inside the area, cuts inside, where Park sprints on to the loose ball and smashes high in to the roof of the net.
- 10': An early goal was precisely what PSV wanted; they now know that the Italians will be feeling a little more tense and nervous.
- 11': Milan, of course, are a very experienced side and certainly won't be panicing. A single goal for them would leave PSV a massive task.
- 12': I bet that Park goal was massively-cheered in Liverpool; Reds supporters would surely prefer to face PSV than Milan in the final.
- 13': PSV are knocking the ball around at the back and in midfield with great confidence; Milan are chasing and pressing well, but the Dutch side are showing great composure.
- 14': Kaka gets away from Bouma down the right, but his cross is mis-hit and Vogel clears inside his penalty area. PSV then break through Park, but he loses the ball as he's about to slide a pass through to VoH.
- 15': Seedorf launches a long ball through to Shevchenko, who had pulled off the shoulder of Alex. The Ukranian striker mis-controls the pass, however, and the ball runs out of play.
- 16': Gattuso snaps at the heels of Van Bommel and gives away a foul just inside the Milan half. Van Bommel swings it in, but Ambrosini clears.
- 17': There have been a couple of incidents of players slipping; I think there might have been a little rain in Eindhoven tonight, and the pitch seems to be a little slippy.
- 18': Milan have certainly made a sluggish start to this match; they must have known that the home side were going to come at them fast and hard from the off, but they seemed a little unprepared.
- 19': Shevchenko brilliantly evades Alex out on the left touchline. He flicks the ball in front of him as he heads towards the penalty area, but Cocu has tracked back and robs him 30 yards out.
- 20': Nesta gives away something of a soft foul on VoH, 35 yards out. Van Bommel takes the set-piece, and Lucius' shot from the half-clearance is blocked inside the area by Stam.
- 21': PSV are playing relatively free of pressure; they have already secured the Dutch championship, and no-one expected them to win tonight.
- 22': Lucius takes the ball in-field and is quick to head towards the Milan area, though the move breaks down when Park can't quite collect his pass.
- 23': Stam is a little too keen in the air from Stam, and Milan give away another free-kick. This time it's taken short, but the move breaks down when Van Bommel fouls Gattuso.
- 24': Seedorf over-hits an attempted through-ball to Shevchenko. The Dutch fans don't offer him much sympathy.
- 25': The pace has slowed since the goal, which I suppose would suit both teams; PSV need to stay patient and ensure they don't concede, and Milan know that a 1-0 loss sends them through.
- 26': Oooh! Van Bommel bends in a free-kick from the left wing. VoH makes a great run in front of his marker and glances a header against the top of the crossbar.
- 27': Will PSV be left ruing that chance? VoH, with his strength and power in the air, should have at least worked the goalkeeper from eight yards out with that header.
- 28': PSV win yet another free-kick when Cafu brings down Van Bommel. It's another dangerous position, 25 yards out, left-of-centre.
- 29': Bouma strikes the free-kick with great power, but it's straight at the wall and the ball deflects clear.
- 31': Milan seem a little aggreived with some of the refereeing decisions; Kaka is denied a clear free-kick when Lucius barges him.
- 32': Milan look a lot less threatening than they did in the first leg last week. Then, they played with two strikers, but tonight Shevchenko is having to do all the running on his own.
- 33': Milan enjoy a good spell of possession inside the PSV half, though they can't quite create a decent shooting chance. The home side have plenty players back defending.
- 34': Farfan and Maldini are having a good tustle down the PSV left. It's shaping up to be a good battle. Park seems to have more of a free role; he's popping up all over the show.
- 35': Milan's first two shots of the game, both from outside the box; first Kaka has an effort blocked, but it falls to Seedorf, who slams a right-foot effort wide.
- 36': Shevechenko's cross is deflected in to the path of Cafu, who crashes a shot high and wide. The Brazilian was under pressure from Park as he hit the shot.
- 37': Maldini fouls Farfan out on the left.
- 38': Oooh! Van Bommel swings the ball in, Bouma sneaks in at the far post, but he heads in to the ground and the ball bounces up over the bar. Half-a-chance.
- 40': Oooh! Cafu pulls a low cross back to Kaka, who hits a right-foot shot goalwards. Bouma, though, throws himself at the ball and blocks the effort.
- 41': Maldini makes a rare venture forward and is spotted by Kaka, taking a quick free-kick. The veteran defender makes his run too soon, however, and is caught off-side.
- 42': PSV will be delighted going in at half-time 1-0 up. It gives them a great platform to attack in the second perdiod.
- 43': Maldini's pass back to Dida falls a little short, but the keeper is alert enough to sprint off his line and clear before Farfan can nip in and get a shot away.
- 44': In a strange way, I think Milan will be happy going in at half-time one-down, too; they haven't played well, and know that as PSV press in the second half, they will have chances to score that crucial away goal.
- 45': Two minutes of stoppage time. PSV have the visitors under a little pressure as they send in two or three crosses towards VoH.
- 46': Lucius then hits a low shot from outside the area, which Dida does well to hold low down to his right.
- 46': HALF TIME: PSV have one of the two goals they need. Milan have been sloppy and look jaded, and will need to improve in the second half.
- 45': SUB: Kaladze on, Maldini off. The kick to the head he took early on has obviously taken it's toll, though Kaladze is a very good replacement.
- 46': the half-time break doesn't seem to have shaken Milan out of their habit of giving the ball away in midfield. Van Bommel takes advantage, but his shot is weak and straight at Dida.
- 47': PSV are still throwing plenty of players forward. Milan try and hit them on the break, but Kaka's ball towards Shevchenko is poor.
- 48': Kaladze is lucky to escape a booking when he slides in on Farfan. Perhaps the substitute is trying to finish the job Maldini started; he and Farfan had a right old tustle.
- 49': Oooh! A low right-foot cross slides across the top of the Milan penalty area, VoH dummies, but the ball takes a bobble just as Park was about to shoot and the chance passes.
- 49': The referee gives a soft free-kick decision in Milan's favour, enraging the home fans.
- 50': Pirlo then fouls Park in the middle of the field. Pirlo tries to stop Van Bommel taking the free-kick quickly, and is lucky not to get booked.
- 51': Moments later, Kaka is lucky not to see yellow when he brings down Lee in the corner. Van Bommel tries to send the set-piece in low, but Gattuso clears easily.
- 52': Oooh! Yet another free-kick as Cafu brings down his man on the PSV right. Van Bommel sends the ball in, it's half-cleared and Bouma's volley is blocked on the six-yard box.
- 53': Milan have certainly not started the second half well; they look uncomfortable and scrappy and are offering nothing going forward either.
- 53': PSV do well to play themselves out of some potential trouble at the back.
- 54': Another Cafu foul on the PSV left gives Van Bommel the chance to swing in a cross. A Milan head clears the danger, to the frustration of the home fans.
- 55': Centre-back Alex stays up-field to support the attack, but his left-foot first-time shot from the edge of the area is hit high over the bar.
- 56': This time it's Bouma who brings the ball out of defence and chooses to stay up-field and support VoH. Nothing comes of it, however.
- 57': Milan counter-attack quickly, but good covering from full-back Lucius thwarts Shevchenko as he attempts to slide home a low cross.
- 58': Milan have look out-of-sorts in both attack and defence tonight, and PSV will never have a better chance of turning the legendary Italians over.
- 59': PSV are being very patient, but I wonder how long it will be before they start throwing the long, high balls in to the area as they try for that second goal?
- 60': Good pressing from Milan in midfield forces the home side back in to their own half. Maldini looks very nervous on the Milan bench.
- 62': Shevchenko tries to put Cafu free down the right, but Bouma tracks back and slides the ball out of play. Nice moment as the two help each other to their feet with a smile on their faces.
- 63': Milan are slowly getting more of the ball and enjoying spells of possession in the PSV half, almost for the first time in the match.
- 64': GOAL! Cocu buries a low header after Lee beats Cafu down the left and sends over a sensational cross.
- 65': Wow! So PSV have got both the goals they needed, and we're set up for a fantastic final half-hour. Of course, if the score stays like this, we'll have extra-time.
- 66': That goal will surely bring Milan out of their shell. The momentum is definitely with the home side, but still, a single Milan strike would put them well on top.
- 67': PSV win a corner when Stam is forced to put the ball behind. Kaladze heads clear but the home side maintain possession.
- 67': SUB: Seedorf off, Tomasson on. Milan choose to make an attacking substitution, and it's no surprise that Seedorf is the man to make way; he's been garbage tonight.
- 68': Tomasson has gone to play up-front along side Shevchenko, with Kaka dropping a little deeper in to midfield.
- 69': SUB: Bouma off, Robert on. A very positive substitution from Hiddink; Robert is a lively young forward, replacing centre-back Bouma. They seem to have gone 3-4-3.
- 70': Twenty minutes to go: another goal will be decisive, either way? But which way will it go? Stay here and find out.
- 71': The atmosphere is very tense inside the stadium now. It's as if the PSV fans can't quite belive what they're seeing.
- 72': Gomes hasn't had a single save to make tonight; Milan haven't tested him at all.
- 73': Cafu commits what seems to be his 15th foul of the evening, bringing down Park on the PSV left.
- 74': Cocu floats the set-piece in to the Milan penalty area, where Alex and Bouma were waiting. Dida comes through the crowd to collect and ease the pressure.
- 75': Tomasson is caught off-side as he chased down Kaladze's lofted ball over the top of Alex.
- 76': Oooh! Farfan pounces on a loose ball and fires off a surprise shot from a tight angle. Dida is alert enough to get down to his left and palm wide.
- 76': The corner is half-cleared to Farfan, who strikes another ambitious shot. This time he drags his right-foot volley a couple of yards wide.
- 77': Tomasson lays the ball off to Ambrosini, but Lucius sticks out a boot and forces it out for a corner.
- 78': Shevchenko holds the ball up on the left side of the penalty area. He tries to clip a ball in to the late-running Kaka, but Vogel puts the ball out for a corner.
- 79': Oooh! The corner comes in and Ambrosini, completely unmarked six yards out, plants his header low but straight at Gomes, who palms clear.
- 80': Cafu and Tomasson combine down the right, but Cafu fouls his man. Three PSV players collapse to the turf through exhaustion and cramp, and the physio seems to have a hard time convincing them to get to their feet.
- 81': Robert attempts to battle his way through Stam and Nesta. It's something of a mis-match and Dida collects the loose ball.
- 83': There are a lot of very tired players on the field at the moment, and with extra-time looming, it could be a mistake that settles the tie.
- 84': Neither side are showing great urgency to win the match inside ninety minutes. PSV are the team with more desire, perhaps, with Milan seemingly set on ET.
- 85': Gattuso is bundled over 40 yards out. Free-kick.
- 86': Gattuso curls the ball in, and PSV are forced to put the ball out for a corner. Pirlo sends the ball in to the middle, and Shevchenko heads wide of the far post.
- 87': The whistles start to ring out as Milan enjoy a short spell with the ball inside the PSV half.
- 88': Great skill from Robert on the edge of the Milan area almost sees the subtitute dribble past two defenders. He's robbed at the crucial moment, however.
- 89': GOAL! Ambrosini comes up with the winner! Kaka breaks down the left and sends over a lovely cross which Ambrosini glances past Gomes.
- 90': GOAL! An amazing finish! VoH flicks on a long ball and Cocu smashes a stunning volley past Dida.
- 91': PSV still need another goal, with Milan having scored that crucial away strike through Ambrosini. They push forward and only a desperate last-ditch tackle from Stam denies Park a chance to break in to the area.
- 92': FULL-TIME: So, so tough on PSV, who have been much the better side over the course of the two legs. They have dominated tonight and deserve to be in the final.
- 92': The PSV players are heart-broken - and rightly so. Milan have robbed them here; they were sluggish and sloppy all night but stole a late goal to send them to Istanbul.
