South African Premier News
Orlando Pirates host Golden Arrows at the Orlando Amstel Arena on Tuesday as they make their return after the international break and enter the decisive stretch of the tightest Betway Premiership title race in years.
South Africa controlled the tempo for the lion's share of both games, but their dominance did not always translate to goals and lapses at the back meant they drew 1-1 in Durban and lost 2-1 in Cape Town.
South Africa will host Panama on Friday in Durban -- the first of two friendlies over the course of the international break -- before facing them again in Cape Town next Tuesday.
Bafana Bafana goalkeeper and captain Ronwen Williams has urged South Africa fans to support Lyle Foster, suggesting that the under-fire striker's struggles at Burnley have affected his confidence.
The early exit of South Africa's so-called 'big three' of Sundowns, Pirates and Chiefs ensured that whoever lifts this season's Nedbank Cup, it will go down as an upset - and the semi-finals could yet see even bigger shocks.
