Short-handed Sky fall to Storm as Elena Delle Donne sits

Even without the league's No. 2 scorer, who was sidelined with a flareup of Lyme Disease, the Sky almost pulled off the win, falling 80-76 to the Storm on Tuesday night.

"It didn't alter (game plans) from the standpoint of our intent of what we wanted to do on the offensive end," Agler said. "But defensively Delle Donne is a different kind of player so we would have had to give her a lot of attention."

Delle Donne said after the game that she was day-to-day. Chicago heads next to Washington to play the Mystics on Friday night.

"(I'm) exhausted, kind of like how you feel when you have a fever, really achy, tired," said the reigning WNBA rookie of the year, who battled Lyme Disease in college.

Epiphanny Prince, who was playing her second game since sitting out the first part of the season because of burnout, had 14 of her 18 points in the second half as Seattle held off a late Chicago run to win 80-76 on Tuesday night.

"Defensively we've been playing better," Agler said. "We didn't do real well in the second half or the fourth quarter tonight but Epiphanny Prince, she can play. She got it going a little bit."

Chicago was also missing forward Jessica Breland who sat out with a lower leg injury. The Sky are still without Sylvia Fowles, who is recovering from off-season hip surgery. She's expected back later this month.

Tanisha Wright scored 17 points while Camille Little added 13 and Sue Bird 12 for the Storm (4-6), who have won three of their past four games.

Trailing 68-56 with 6:42 left in the fourth quarter, Prince led a comeback. She hit two 3-pointers and Tamera Young added a layup to cap an 11-3 run. But Noelle Quinn's 25-footer with 2:12 left pushed the Storm lead back to seven points and the Sky never got closer than four in the final minute on a buzzer-beating Prince three-pointer.

Markeisha Gatling had 15 points and 10 rebounds while Young added 10 points for the short-handed Sky.

Crystal Langhorne had 10 rebounds for the Storm.
