Prince, away for several weeks on a personal leave after playing overseas, scored a season-high 30 points and the Sky snapped a four-game losing streak with a 105-100 overtime victory over the New York Liberty on Wednesday.

"I'm happy with the way I performed, but I don't think I'm in the best game shape," said Prince, who scored in double figures for the third straight game. "I wasn't really tired, and I think I'm getting closer and closer every game I play."

Prince's 3-pointer with 2:28 left in overtime gave the Sky the lead for good at 95-92, and Markeisha Gatling added two free throws after Liberty center Tina Charles fouled out.

Jessica Breland scored 22 points, Courtney Vandersloot and Gatling added 17, and Tamera Young had 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Sky (6-5). Chicago beat the Liberty for the eighth straight time, dating to Aug. 21, 2012.

Liberty guard Cappie Pondexter scored 12 points in the fourth quarter but missed a potential winner in the waning seconds of regulation, leaving it tied at 86.

Pondexter finished with 29 as New York (3-9) dropped its fourth straight and seventh in eight games. Charles had 25 points and rookie Anna Cruz added a season-high 17.

"It was a tough game, the only thing we can do is go forward," Pondexter said. "Luckily, I have enough experience in this league that a lot of good things can happen. I'm still optimistic and if we can continue to work hard, we'll overcome whatever it is we're going through right now."

Charles scored the Liberty's first eight points and had 11 in the opening quarter while the Sky opened a 20-15 lead. Charles added seven more in the second half to help New York to a 38-35 lead at intermission.

Prince had 15 points in the third quarter, and Chicago led 64-59 entering the final period.

Breland returned to the starting lineup after missing two games with a right leg injury. Liberty veteran Plenette Pierson played more than 14 minutes after missing Sunday's game at Connecticut with a right knee injury.

Chicago played without forward Elena Delle Donne for the third straight game. The league's No. 2 scorer, Delle Donne was averaging 22.3 points before a flare up of Lyme disease sidelined her.

She's scheduled to be re-evaluated Thursday and could be available for games later this week.

Before tipoff, the WNBA honored Delle Donne with the Dawn Staley Community Leadership Award for her charitable and community service work involving the Special Olympics and Lyme disease research.
