Feyenoord coach Robin van Persie has launched a passionate defence of new signing Raheem Sterling after the forward came in for criticism following a cameo appearance on debut for the Dutch side.
Raheem Sterling has said he was pleased with his start to life at Feyenoord after he made his first competitive appearance since May 2025 on Sunday, while adding that he has not yet spoken to England boss Thomas Tuchel about a possible comeback.
